mill´s legend by Thirty Year´s War
Bachfoto Mhlsteintisch Frontn

A legend tells that the mill should exist at least since 1759. It is said that a chatolic pastor from the naibour town tried to hide here in the mill not to been caught by the evangelic Sweden during the Thirts Year´s War.

The legend knows two different versions. One says, the Swedish caught the pastor and killed him the other one tells he drowned on flight in the mills creek.

However what ever happened, in the year 1976 we found a old, rotten, broken-down wooden cross in memoriam to this pastor. It´s a pity, but we could not renovate the old cross.
